Hospital uses power of architecture to promote healing
GeoTility is proud to have contributed to the addition to St. Mary's Hospital in Sechelt, BC. This innovative hospital - the greenest in Canada - uses a holistic approach to both healing and efficient building design. Features include day-lighting, green roofs, fresh air through opening windows, organic materials and shapes, optimized work flow and of course, geothermal heating and cooling.
GeoTility installed 125 boreholes to 76 meters (250 feet) to provide thermal energy for the hospital. Energy consumption is 1/3rd of the older, smaller hospital.
